Jimmy Butler of the Golden State Warriors faced an uncertain status for Game 3 after suffering a pelvis contusion during Wednesday’s game against the Houston Rockets.
The Warriors’ Instagram account announced Butler underwent an MRI on Thursday that confirmed the injury as a pelvis and deep gluteal muscle contusion. Butler’s availability for Saturday’s Game 3 remained questionable.
Butler exited Wednesday’s game in Houston after sustaining the injury, which was later officially diagnosed following medical examination. The timing was particularly concerning as teams position themselves for an intensely competitive playoff series. Luckily, Butler is back in action and has led his team to victory in Game 4.
Originally drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 2011, Butler is a six-time NBA All-Star known for his defensive tenacity and clutch performances. His recent addition to the Warriors brought championship-level experience to a roster already rich in playoff pedigree.
The Golden State Warriors, founded in 1946, are one of the most successful franchises in NBA history, with multiple championship wins in the 2010s behind a core that included Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.
Luckily, Butler is back in action and has recently led his team to a Game 4 victory, demonstrating his resilience and value to the Warriors during a critical point in their playoff run.
